Rising Star Heifer Ranch

Rising Star Heifer Ranch is a specialized 3,500-acre operation in western Montana dedicated exclusively to raising replacement heifers for the beef cattle industry. Established in 1978 by the Harmon family, the ranch develops approximately 1,200 Angus and Angus-cross heifers at any given time, taking them from weaning through breeding age.

The operation features state-of-the-art facilities designed for low-stress handling, including dedicated receiving pastures, development paddocks, and breeding facilities. What distinguishes Rising Star is their data-driven approach—each heifer receives electronic tracking, and the ranch employs full-time cowboys, a veterinarian, and nutritionists who collaborate to ensure optimal development.
